Napa County ranks 5th out of all California counties in the County Health Rankings for Health Outcomes.1 When asked about their health status, 54% of Napa County residents reported excellent or very good.2 However, Hispanic/Latinos and those living below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line had lower proportions3. In Napa County, 90.9% of residents have health insurance, almost 4% more than the rest of California.4 According to the County Health Rankings, 8% of the population under 65 years of age is uninsured. The implementation of the Affordable Care Act/Covered California will likely lower the number of uninsured and future reports should tell us more about the impact on the community. Read More
