Community Collaborative Launches Groundbreaking Wellness Survey
A coalition of local organizations including the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, the Health Trust, the Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits, the Diabetes Society, Breathe California, the Indian Health Center of Santa Clara Valley, and the Healthy Silicon Valley Collaborative have joined to create the first comprehensive survey to catalog wellness programs and benefits that are being provided in workplaces across the greater Silicon Valley.
With health care costs and the burden of chronic diseases on the rise, workplace wellness has become a critical strategy to sustaining employee health and productivity, while mitigating costs.
The GoWell, Fit For Work survey project will produce a critical benchmark for county wellness progress, while information collected is also expected to help organizations streamline custom wellness programs going forward.
Only those organizations participating in the five (5) minute online survey will be given access to a comprehensive, aggregated data, containing information on what other employers of various sizes and industries are doing to improve the health, morale, and retention of employees through their wellness offerings.
Participants will also be entered in a weekly raffle, with a chance to win a number prizes, including $25 Starbucks gift cards, $50 Whole Foods gift cards, and the early bird grand prize, a one-night stay and spa massage at Hotel Valencia in Santana Row. Winners will be announced each week through the close of the survey on April 24.
