Breathe California Chosen to Coordinate the
Silicon Valley Clean Cities
Coalition
Breathe
California is proud to announce that it has been chosen as the
coordinator of the Silicon Valley Clean Cities
Coalition! The coalition, one of 100 across the country,
works to improve air quality and achieve energy independence by
promoting alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs). Breathe California will
help organize the efforts of the coalition’s diverse
membership to achieve this goal, much like it did at CISCO
Systems’ Earth Day event (see picture)
where
more than 5,000 people learned about air quality and AFVs. Read

Protect Your Lungs During Summer Heat
Waves
Last
month’s heat wave may have signaled the time to break out
your shorts and sunglasses, but rising temperatures are not the
only thing you need to beware of this summer. Heat waves can also
increase smog pollution to potentially dangerous levels, posing a
host of serious health risks to children, seniors or those with
heart or lung disease. Fortunately, you can protect yourself and
your loved ones from spikes in air pollution this summer by
following these simple
tips.
