California Cancer Research Act

Breathe California has joined the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association to campaign for an increase of the cigarette tax by $1.00 per pack. Professional Caregiver Training

On Wednesday, February 24, Breathe California will sponsor a "Professional Caregiver Training" at the Northside Community Center in San Jose.  This two-hour workshop is specifically for those hired to provide caregiver services.  Topics will include healthy breathing, fall prevention, acknowledging grief and love, and empowering caregiving heroes.

The training is free, but space is limited and advance registration is required.  To register, call 408 998-5865.

Breathe California is advocating for smoke-free outdoor dining in the cities of Santa Clara County. If you've been bothered by secondhand smoke while eating in a restaurant's outdoor dining area, please call us and join the effort to keep secondhand smoke out of our dinner plates.
