On May 6th, Breathe California and the Santa Clara County Asthma Coalition will be hosting a FREE workshop for families with children suffering from asthma, between 4 and 7:30 at the Santa Clara Family Health Plan’s Family Resource Center. The event will teach children and parents strategies to better manage the child’s asthma and create a healthier home environment (learn more about the event by reading our PAC Newsletter). The coalition will also kick off a host of other community activities throughout the month to raise awareness of the disease. Read more

On April 18th, Breathe California proudly recognized 10 local businesses, organizations and individuals with its 2008 Clean Air Awards. Presented at its annual spring luncheon, the awards honor those undertaking innovative approaches to fight air pollution and protect public health. This year’s awards specifically recognized those who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to address climate change.
